Book Chain Project

At Emami Papers Pvt. Ltd., we take pride in our alignment with global sustainability efforts in publishing through our association with the BookChain Project, a collaborative platform designed to bring transparency and responsibility to the book production supply chain. Emami Paper Pvt Ltd. meets International Standards.The Book Chain Project is a unique industry initiative that enables publishers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the materials and practices involved in producing their books.More than 20 of the world’s leading publishing companies are part of this initiative, working together to ensure accountability across their paper supply chains. The project is supported by an extensive database that collects and manages data regarding paper specifications, pulp sourcing, forest certifications, mill-level carbon footprint, and water usage.   

Paper Grading Framework: Each paper submitted to the project is evaluated and awarded a rating of 1, 3, or 5 stars. These grades are determined using a transparent
scoring system that considers the origin of the wood fibre and the sustainability practices followed in managing those forests. 

Our Listed Products: We are pleased to share that a selection of our high-quality paper grades is included and rated in the Book Chain Project database, ensuring traceability and ethical sourcing.
